Novastar CX40 Pro All-In-One Controlloer The Novastar CX40 Pro is a 4K LED display controller by Novastar. A 5.5-inch LCD touchscreen, a control knob and a back button on the device make it easy to control when you don’t want to use the comprehensive, user-friendly VMP software. Cascading control via Ethernet is possible too. The Novastar CX40 Pro offers a range of inputs and outputs for ultimate flexibility. Inputs include two HDMI 2.0 loop, one DP 1.2 and two 12G-SDI loop, while the outputs consist of six 5GB Ethernet ports and one 40G optical port. There are also two network ports, one auxiliary port, an S/PDIF optical out and a Genlock input and loop on board. Advanced features include three independent layers, image scaling, colour replacement, 14Ch colour correction, low latency support and display system monitoring. Note that the CX40 Pro uses a new type of receiver card (CA50E/CA50C/XA50) and is, therefore, not backwards compatible. Function Limitations: The Frame Rate Adaptive function only works with the CA50E, CA50C, and XA50 receiving cards. Currently supported driver ICs include MBI5264, ICND2055, ICND2065, and ICND2069. In addition, the .ncp file generated by the Cabinet Tool from NovaStar must be used. The Dynamic Booster function only works with the CA50E, CA50C, and XA50 receiving cards. Before operation, brightness correction by using the CA410-VP427, CA410-P427, or EYE2-400 color analyzer is recommended. The Full Grayscale Calibration function only works with the CA50E and CA50C receiving cards. Using the HDR function reduces the CX40 load capacity by less than half when the CX40 works with the CA50E, CA50C, and XA50 receiving cards.
